Lambton & Jackson is the culmination of our passion for beautifully smoked seafood. It came about after we decided in early 2014 (that’s Darcy Lambton and Sean Jackson) to put that passion into the creation of our own company.

 

The dream stemmed from the simple fact that Sean is recognised as one of the country’s outstanding talents in the art of smoking seafood. Ever since leaving school Sean has toiled tirelessly at his craft serving chefs across the land.

Over the years, our smoked products have featured on top menus in London, East Anglia and beyond. Our customers have included Michelin-starred restaurants supplying the likes of Marcus Wareing as well as world famous hotels and clubs. We’ve won multiple awards including Great Taste’s three stars and been crowned champions of the smoked seafood category at the Great British Food Awards.

In early 2020 we moved into brand new purpose-built smokehouse facilities, all looked dandy, and then the pandemic struck. It was a huge challenge to trade in such a storm but we adapted and ultimately pulled through not least thanks to thriving online demand. We now deliver direct into more homes than ever before.

 

Our core artisan philosophy has never changed though. For us the pursuit of perfection is seldom advanced by spreading your expertise too thinly. So we don’t smoke any edible in sight. Chickens, ducks and bacon (essentially meat) we leave to others. Instead we play to our strengths mostly concentrating on our award-winning range of smoked salmon. There’s more though. Our smoked eel and smoked cheeses are knockout tasty too.

Everything is done by hand, our ethos is the very opposite of the supermarket supplier. In our view, mass production is incompatible with the attention required to make intensely delicious smoked salmon and more.

Fittingly, we are located in the historic foodie hub of Maldon, long famous for its sea salt and oysters. The Maldon Collection of smoked salmon products from Lambton & Jackson now add to that rich heritage. So spoil yourself with our smoked delights lovingly made by the very best in the business.
