Lambton & Jackson Wins Gold at Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards

We’re delighted to announce that our Maldon Cure Smoked Salmon has been awarded Gold at the 2026 Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards. The awards are judged ahead of April’s annual Farm Shop & Deli Show at the NEC Birmingham and celebrate outstanding food and drink products supplied to the UK’s independent farm shops, delis and specialist retailers.

With a record number of products entered this year, achieving Gold is a fantastic recognition of the craftsmanship and dedication that go into everything we do at Lambton & Jackson.

This is not the first time our Maldon Cure Smoked Salmon has caught the eye of judges in a national food competition, having previously achieved the ultimate three stars at the Great Taste Awards in 2019.

Expertly cured and then carefully smoked in small batches over smouldering English oak, it’s a product that truly embodies our approach at Lambton & Jackson.

But it’s not the only one. We’re thrilled that several other products from our smokehouse were also recognised by the judges. Out of four products entered, all four received awards:

Gold – Maldon Cure Smoked Salmon
Silver – Smoked Chalkstream Trout
Bronze – Maldon Deep Smoked Salmon
Bronze – Beetroot Cure Salmon

These products were judged in our 200g retail packs, reflecting how they would appear on the shelf in a farm shop or deli. This means presentation, packaging and retail readiness were all considered alongside taste and quality.

From our smokehouse on the edge of Maldon, Essex, we create delicious smoked salmon and other smoked fish products not just for five-star hotels and restaurants nationwide, but also farm shops and delis.
